Project Overview

We developed and tested two embedded Ethernet solutions using the STM32F207 microcontroller, targeting 100 Mbps wired communication with both MII and RMII PHY interfaces. These projects demonstrate our capability to design reliable, production-ready Ethernet hardware for industrial and embedded applications.

The first configuration utilizes the MII interface with Microchip's LAN9353, integrating a 3-port managed switch with dual RJ45 connectors. This enables direct routing and communication between devices and the MCU, perfect for applications requiring multiple Ethernet connections.

The second configuration implements the RMII interface with TI's DP83825IR, providing a compact and cost-effective single-PHY solution for simple Ethernet connectivity. Both solutions reflect our experience in designing reliable networking hardware and implementing low-level networking support.
